Svítání invites families to a six-day Equine-Assisted Therapy (EAT) stay in Crete, combining a structured morning therapeutic programme with relaxed family time by the sea.
October in Crete offers beautiful, stable weather – warm enough for the beach yet pleasant and not too hot - making it ideal for children, families, and therapeutic work.
The concept
Each morning is dedicated to Equine-Assisted Therapy led by experienced EAT clinical specialists.
Afternoons are free for family time – the beach, rest, or discovering Crete.
The programme is designed to support rehabilitation goals while allowing families to enjoy a calm and meaningful holiday together.
Programme overview
Dates: 26–31 October 2026
Length of stay: 6 days
Programme days: Monday–Tuesday and Thursday–Saturday
Wednesday is a family day off and coincides with a Greek national holiday, offering families an exceptional opportunity to enjoy the local atmosphere and celebrations together with the local community.
Morning programme:
Care of the equines
Two Equine-Assisted Therapy sessions per day
One individual 60-minute therapy session off the equine during the week
Afternoons:
Free time for family activities, the beach, rest, or sightseeing.
Location
The programme takes place in the Riding Academy Crete in the beautiful Amnisiades Park:
Approximately 15 minutes from Heraklion Airport
15-minute walk from the beach
Optional activities
Available on request:
Recreational horse riding for family members, including beach rides
Pottery workshops and other creative activities

The price includes: the complete EAT programme and expert supervision by an experienced Equine Assisted Therapy Clinical Therapist.
It does not include: flights, accommodation, meals, local transport, or optional activities.
