A Two-Part Pathway
This programme consists of two parts.
Part 1: Core Principles of Equine Assisted Services
This first course can also be taken as a standalone programme. It provides the essential orientation, language, equine knowledge, professional overview and key principles of Equine Assisted Services.

Czech Republic
Vera, the course creator and main lecturer, has extensive experience in rehabilitation since 1999 and has completed a number of specialised postgraduate training courses, including Hippotherapy through the Czech Equine Facilitated Therapy Association and the American Hippotherapy Association, the Vojta method, CranioSacral Therapy, and other professional approaches.
She specialises in Equine Assisted Physiotherapy (EAT) services for children from 3 months of age with a wide range of diagnoses, combining clinical expertise with practical experience in Equine Assisted Services.
As Chair of Svítání – Academy of Equine Assisted Services and President of HETI, Vera brings significant international experience and professional leadership to this course. Her long-standing involvement in Equine Assisted Therapy, education and standards development helps ensure that learners receive high-quality training informed by current practice, safety principles and global perspectives.

Structure / Duration
Principles to Practice in Equine Assisted Services is a structured two-part Level 3 Diploma pathway designed to guide learners from essential theory into practical competence.
As this is a regulated qualification, learners enrol onto a defined course intake with clear milestones, staged submissions and a final completion deadline. This helps learners stay organised, progress steadily and complete the qualification within the required timeframe.
Part 1 starts on 28 September 2026: Core Principles of Equine Assisted Services
The first stage provides the theoretical foundation of the field and introduces key terminology, safety principles, equine knowledge, professional roles and the main areas of Equine Assisted Services.

What You Will Need
To succeed in this programme, learners should feel comfortable with online learning and basic digital tasks, as much of the course is delivered through e-learning, written submissions, online forms and video evidence.
