How does the course work?
- Course prerequisities: To join this course, you need first complete the online Introductory course - Core Principles of Equine Assisted Services. Alternatively, if you have already completed an EAT/Hippotherapy course in your country, you can join this course directly.
- Course Duration: 140 hours (40 hours e-learning, 40 hours hands-on practice, 60 hours self-study) + gaining horsemanship skills.
- E-learning: 4 modules. You'll receive a username and password to access our online study platform, allowing you to study at your own pace.
- Practical Part: Includes two live webinars (4 hours each) where the mentor will demonstrate therapy sessions and equipment and answer questions. Participants must complete 40 hours of EAT sessions in any EAT center (your choise) and submit 2 video sessions for mentor review.
- Self-Study: Extensive theoretical study, literature review, assignments, control tests, case studies, and a virtual center project.
- Support: Continuous support is available via email, and during the live webinars. Live call provide additional assistance before the practical part and the final exam.
- Horsemanship Skills: Participants should have basic experience in equine handling and care. A video of a equine preparation for a therapy session and a simple dressage task (download it here) at walk and trot is required. If you lack these skills, acquiring them is necessary at your own expense.
- Final Exam: An online multiple-choice test, preceded by completion of practical tasks and assignments, including videos of demostrating horsemanship skills.
- Certificates of Completion: Issued upon successfully finishing the course.
